Privacy Policy

Last updated April 18, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Protogen Research Co. collects when you use protogenresearch.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your information.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly when you create an account, place an order, or contact us. This includes your name, shipping and billing address, email address, phone number, and order history.

We do not collect or store full payment card numbers. Card data is collected and tokenized directly by our payment processor.

We also collect limited technical information automatically, including IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages visited, and referral source. This information is used to operate and improve the site.

How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to process and ship your orders, authenticate your account, respond to inquiries, send order updates and — if you opt in — marketing communications, verify your age and eligibility, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

How We Share Information

We share personal information only with:

Service providers that help us operate the business — including our payment processor (Stripe), hosting and database provider (Neon), email delivery provider, and shipping carriers. These providers are authorized to use your information only to perform services for us.

Law enforcement or regulators when required by subpoena, court order, or applicable law.

A successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to equivalent privacy commitments.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you logged in and to remember your cart. We may also use limited analytics cookies to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. You can disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings; the site will still function without them, though some features may be limited.

Data Retention

We retain account and order records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet tax, accounting, and legal requirements. You may request deletion of your account; we will honor the request except where retention is required by law.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us through our Contact page. We will verify your identity before acting on a request.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage, and row-level security on our database. No system is perfectly secure — notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.

Children's Privacy

Our site is intended for adults age 21 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated by email or a prominent site notice.
