Terms of Service

All products sold by Protogen Research Co. are offered strictly as laboratory reagents for in-vitro research use only (RUO). Products are not drugs, not dietary supplements, not cosmetics, and not medical devices. Products are not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for any use in humans or animals.

By placing an order, you represent that you are a qualified researcher or purchasing on behalf of one, that you will use the products solely for legitimate scientific, educational, or analytical purposes, and that you will not administer the products to any human or animal under any circumstances.

You must be at least 21 years of age and legally competent to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction. You must reside in the United States. We do not knowingly sell to minors or to individuals outside of our approved shipping regions. We may refuse or cancel any order at our sole discretion.

By creating an account, placing an order, or otherwise using this site, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Compliance Policy, our Returns Policy, and our Shipping Policy. We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. We will update the “Last updated” date above when material changes are made.

To place orders you may be required to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

All prices are listed in U.S. dollars and do not include shipping or applicable taxes. We reserve the right to correct pricing or product errors, to limit order quantities, and to refuse any order. Placement of an order is an offer to purchase; we accept the offer when we ship the product.

Payment is processed through third-party providers. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers. By submitting payment information you authorize us and our processors to charge the payment method for the order total.

Shipping terms, transit times, and carrier options are described on our Shipping page. Title and risk of loss pass to you upon delivery to the carrier. Transit delays caused by carriers or customs are outside our control.

Because of the nature of research chemicals, returns are limited. See our Returns Policy for eligibility, the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process, and refund timing.

All site content — including copy, images, product photography, COAs, and the Protogen Research Co. name and marks — is owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any portion of the site for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

You agree not to: (a) use the products for any human or animal administration; (b) resell products in a manner that misrepresents their research-only status; (c) reverse-engineer or tamper with the site; (d) scrape, harvest, or interfere with the operation of the site; or (e) use the site in violation of any law.

Products and site content are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that product information, COAs, or site content is free of error.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Protogen Research Co., its officers, employees, and suppliers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your purchase or use of any product, regardless of the legal theory. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of a product shall not exceed the amount you paid for that product.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Protogen Research Co. and its affiliates from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your handling, possession, storage, use, transfer, or disposal of any product, or your breach of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the site shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
